Ohio state representative calls for paperless voter registration {VIDEO}
Wednesday, February 25, 2015Someone needs to remind the Ohio voter registration system we’re in the 21st century.
That’s what State Rep. Michael Stinziano was getting at when he wrote that its time for registration to move online.
The representative recently introduced House Bill 41, which would create a paperless voter registration process.
Within the proposed system, voter information would still be checked against the Bureau of Motor Vehicles records to ensure safety.
He wrote that an online content management system for registration would make the process “easier, more convenient and more secure.”
Stinziano added that paperless voter registration would also save taxpayers money – since their would be less work for election officials.
