Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to begin emailing notices

The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration will take a step toward paperless operations after spokesman Buel Young announced earlier this week that the MVA would be sending email notifications to drivers. 

Those whose license or insurance are in violation will receive the email notice in an effort to make the MVA more efficient and give drivers extra time to attend to unfinished business. 

"If you got a speeding ticket and failed to request a court date or failed to pay the fine, your license would be suspended," Young said according to My Eastern Shore, Maryland. "Once we get this from the court, we can send you the notice. It helps speed up the process."

Speed isn't the only benefit that the content management services and email notifications meant to replace paper-based business provide. Outright writes that transitioning can also reduce operational costs. By cutting down on the use of paper storage costs, in addition to the price of ink and paper, can be scratched from the budget. Additionally the switch is an environmentally conscious decision, something good for the planet and good for public relations.
