Technology has become a vital tool for educators, who are switching from reams of paper to content management systems to streamline academics.

Tablets are being handed to students of all ages in classrooms across North America.

Now, Brock University is preparing to be the first paperless school in Ontario, according to The Brock Press.

Going paperless will provide new channels for student-teacher communication. One example is the option for students to submit assignments through a digital drop-box. Professors then make edits, add a few remarks, and resubmit the documents into the drop-box.

This option will do away with the messy stacks of papers strewn across classrooms and offices in the school.
